Lost and Found

I exited Highway 101 and pulled up to a red light and the sign reads "stop here on red". I choose the lane second from the right so that I'm not tempted. I drove by a piece of carved wood on the pavement; it was about ten feet back. Since the light is long, I put the car in park, opened the door, ran back, retrieved the item and resumed my driver position.  I had picked up a flat blade screwdriver with a long, weathered blade and a wooden orthotope handle. Driving and imagining a largish truck, maybe painted white, a carpenter's truck containing tools, I wondered if centrifugal force from the turn or acceleration from a rabbit start launched the screwdriver. I'm no carpenter and that's why I didn't know about Brownells, bccause that's what it is, Wooden Handles, Heavy Square Shanks Help Produce A Professional Job, 40 bucks for a set of eight.
