I had an evening event on my calendar and decided to bring brownies and have been meaning to reprise the See's Gooey Brownie recipe, because I only made half a recipe in my brownie search for chocolate. In the lab of the kitchen, I reduced the sugar too much because all the butter did not absorb and more or less poached the whole pan of brownie. I poured off a couple tablespoons of butter, then brought it to the event. I forgot to serve the treat to the people as they stood around talking, which is why I still have enough to photograph.
The brownies keep well, have the wonderful taste of Guittard chocolate and keep you going when you become a bit more sleepy than you like.
