From the See's Candy Brownies recipe, adapted from the recipe on the back of the See's Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips package, I burned the sweetened condensed milk because I put the medium sized sauce pan on the least hot burner in front, but, alas, it needed to go to the cooler back burner. These brownies have a touch of burnt sugar and the ratios would be a little off because a layer of sweet milk remains in the saucepan and I put in half the sugar and used dark chocolate chips and added dark chocolate sprinkles.
One taster analyzed the sweet to chocolate ratio and concluded that more chocolate would be needed to approach the fail sweet spot; where the chocolate taste is no longer pleasant. A review from Brownies Cockaigne mentioned a dryness and from now on, I'm not using convection bake because of my trouble knowing how to adjust a recipe for it.
