Brownie - Part IV

Today's brownie is Petites Trianons from Maida Heatter's Cookies, one of the smaller sized recipes from http://www.wayofthedodo.org/. In my search for more chocolate flavor, I cut the sugar in half, added half an ounce of unsweetened chocolate and put dark chocolate sprinkles on the top, which turned out to be amateur moves, because the brownie baked more quickly and resulted in a funny consistency.

The tasters agreed that the crumbly, moist bake was not as pleasing as the See's recipe. In fact, the See's recipe also garnered the greatest taste praise. I used salt flakes in place of the pinch of salt called for in the recipe, which made certain pieces more complex than other pieces. The batch went quickly, in any case.
