Breaking from chocolate chip cookies, I baked a blueberry cobbler, taking almost 5 cups of blueberries; best warm out of the over, like CCC, and good berry flavor.
I face a difficult challenge when adding chocolate to recipes. Baking time, never my strong point, becomes trickier. Added challenges dampened my enthusiasm for experimenting, however, I mixed up a batch of toffee bars, plussed the 1/2 cup for chocolate chips and 1/2 cup for nuts, then doubled the amount and added two cups of 62% chocolate chips. True to its nature, the bake was underdone in the middle. At first, discouraged, I thought to switch to soley eating chocolate chips from the bag they're sold in at the store, then, slowly, the wonderful texture and taste of the bars touching the sides of the pan won me over to optimism. We don't get to choose optimism, only wait, taste and observe.
