Game Night

I'm telling you, weekend invitations roll in and I bake for the occasion, another pie, this time, banana creme.

We brought the board game, Bezzerwizzer, and played the card game, Bang. The party atmosphere and excellent dinner discourages critical taster response to dessert, in any case, this pie tastes like clouds and more than one non-banana-aficionado enjoyed the flavor anyway. The vanilla bean in the custard comes through tasting great and everyone likes a good graham crust. New York Times Cooking presented this pie in a list of favorites and I have a full half dozen to try. I'd better go purchase pie slice sized tupperware.
