CCCIII
These cookies went fast. The tasters could not have cared less that the cakey cookie recipe title is New York Times Cooking Flat-and-Chewy Chocolate-Chip Cookies. What happened? Without a line item on my shopping list, I forgot to get all-purpose flour and continued to use the white whole wheat. Also, the word "Chewy" inspired me to add chopped, dried berries to the dough. Over baking with convection heating didn't help. No one would call those cookies flat and they looked like the tahini chocolate chip cookies. The recipe called for two cups chopped bittersweet chocolate and I used 70% dark chocolate; nothing else modified. The taste really did hit the mark.
