Zaleucus' son

I was visiting the Lourvre the other day and spotted a statue of a man stabbing himself in the eye. Curious and disdainful of the proffered explanation that he was Oedipus, I navigated the interactive display and discovered the title, "The Son of Zaleucus", a relief from the south facade of Cour Carres about 1560-1564. Looking online for more information, I found this article by Paul Sheridan, a Canadian mathematician.

The Story

That's a pretty impressive blog right there.  Worried that he hadn't posted in a while, I dug deeper and found that he's simply really busy at his new job at University of Prince Edward Island.
